Privacy Policy

This policy explains what LabsAI Studio (labsai.studio and app.labsai.studio) does with your information. The Studio is operated by Labs Companies, Inc. and is the home of LabsAI, the voice of Labsintelligence. Labsintelligence's own site has its own Privacy Policy; this one covers the Studio.
The Studio is a voice experience, so the short version matters most: your microphone is only open while a conversation is running, your audio is processed to answer you rather than to build a copy of your voice, and we do not sell it.
What we handle

You do not need an account to speak with LabsAI. Signing in is optional and unlocks conveniences like saved Sessions and a longer session length. If you tell LabsAI your name in conversation, it is used to address you during that conversation.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information or your voice.
- We do not use your recordings to clone your voice or to train a synthetic voice that imitates you. Chemí is generated and is not built from visitor audio.
- We do not use conversations to build an advertising profile of you.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your account and saved Sessions
Accounts are optional. You can create one with your email address — we send a one-time code rather than asking you to set a password — or by signing in with Google, in which case Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us so we can set up the account. You can set a display name and an avatar. We keep you signed in with a signed cookie (las_acct); signing out clears it.
When you are signed in, you can save a conversation as a Session. A saved Session — its title, timing and turns — is stored under your account on our servers so you can come back to it; it is visible only to you and to Labs personnel who maintain the service. You control it: delete an individual saved Session, or delete your entire account and everything tied to it, at any time from the Studio or by writing to us. Account and saved-Session data is kept until you delete it or your account, after which it is removed within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal obligations.
Retention
Voice audio is processed in the moment and is not retained as an archive of recordings by Labs after the session ends. Conversation context lives for the duration of the session and a short window around it so a dropped connection can be picked back up; after that it falls away — unless you are signed in and choose to save the session, in which case it is kept under your account until you delete it (see Your account and saved Sessions). The coarse session facts above, and standard server logs, are kept on a short rolling basis for security, abuse prevention, and understanding load. If you use the on-page recorder to save a clip, that file is created on your device and is yours.
Who else is involved
Running a live voice requires a model provider. Audio, transcripts and the text of your turns are processed by third-party artificial intelligence and voice providers acting on our behalf under their terms, for the purpose of generating a response. If you sign in with Google, Google acts as the sign-in provider for that step only. If you ask LabsAI to search the web or read a page, that request reaches the relevant third-party site or search provider. We also share information with our affiliates within the Labs family of companies where they operate part of the Studio, for the purposes in this policy. We otherwise share information only where we must: to comply with law, to enforce our Terms of Use, to protect people's safety, or in connection with a merger, financing or sale of assets, in which case this policy travels with the information. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Safety processing
Conversations pass through automated safety checks so the Studio can decline categories of request and keep the experience usable. This is automated, is applied in the moment, and exists to keep the service safe rather than to profile you.
Your choices
- The microphone is yours. The Studio can only listen when you allow it, and you can revoke that permission in your browser at any time. Ending a session releases the microphone.
- You can type instead. Nothing requires you to speak.
- Camera and screen are off by default and only run while you switch them on.
- Your account is yours to delete. If you created one, you can remove individual saved Sessions or your whole account, which deletes the data tied to it.
- Depending on where you live — including the EU, the UK, and California and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws — you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict use of personal information we hold, to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” (we do neither), and, in the EEA/UK, to withdraw consent and complain to your supervisory authority. Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are providing the service you ask for, our legitimate interest in operating and securing it, your consent for microphone, camera and screen processing, and legal compliance. Because the Studio is designed not to build a profile of you, there is often little to return beyond your account; write to us and we will tell you honestly what exists. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal where required.
Security
Traffic to the Studio is encrypted in transit. Provider credentials are held server-side and never reach your browser. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
International
The Studio is operated from the United States, and information is processed there and in other countries where our providers operate. Using the Studio means accepting that transfer.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date above changes when we do, and continued use after that means you accept the update.
